But Kashuu looks a little surprised by that. He may be among the most human swords in their group, having been around since nearly the beginning, but he is still a tsukumogami. There's some dissonance in the way he views things versus the way someone who wasn't "born" as a sword might, like durability and purpose and use in battle. He's not really adverse to thinking of himself in different terms, though, even if he doesn't necessarily agree. Instead of arguing, he just laughs.]

In the end, we're still a looot more durable than a human soldier, and these guys totally need all the help they can get.

It's not like I can up and pick my own master, y'know. [Except he probably is one of the least hopeless swords in the bunch, so instead of going into the 'swords are tools' spiel - even if he holds similar beliefs - he immediately follows that up with:] But not just anyone can wield a difficult sword! I only look for masters who will use me well and dress me cutely. [Good work Kashuu, and good luck to everyone who's stuck with this prissy princess sword.....
That said, he's got other dance partners to find and some aliens to eventually murder!! So he turns, too, but pauses before he goes.]
Hey... If you spend a lot of time around them, treat them nice, 'kay? —Well! Someone who says the stuff you do wouldn't have any trouble with that. [But he's pretty protective of his fellow dinguses, and he knows how Souza in particular can be... Just scoping out the babysitters here, don't mind him. Apparently he already approves, since he's still looking cheerful when he raises his hand in a parting gesture.]

[You swords and your "I can't pick my master" nonsense. As far as Sousei's concerned, any creature that's sentient and capable of thoughts and choices should pick their own master. Otherwise, it's just blind service--and as he has well learned, blind service does nobody any good.
